Q: What do I do if I see a bear?
A: Unless the bear is acting aggressively or destroying property just leave the bear alone. If the bear is creating a nuisance or being destructive please feel free to contact the police and we will have an officer respond.
Q: Can I conduct a custody exchange or merchandise purchase/pick up at the police station?
A: Yes, you are welcome to use the two parking spots in front of the police station that are designated as handicap/safe exchange spaces. The spaces are under constant video surveillance.
Q: Who do I call if I found a lost dog, bat in my house, raccoon in dumpster, or any other animal related questions/concerns?
A: Please contact animal control at (973) 584-4372. If the matter is in need of immediate assistance please feel free to contact the police and we will have an officer respond or reach on to the on call animal control officer.
