Roxbury Area Model Airplane Club (RAMAC) 
The Roxbury Area Model Airplane Club (RAMAC) will be holding it’s summer meetings at the Horseshoe Lake Recreation Center on June 26th, July 24th and August 28 at 7:30 PM.  The meetings are open to the public.  Everyone is welcome to come by and learn about about the hobby.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bruce McCutcheon at 201-317-2154.

Roxbury Recreation Girls Softball

Spring 2018 registration is now OPEN! Registration will close on March 31st. Early Bird discount only available through February 28th. The Spring 2018 season will start in early April and run through mid June. To learn about our programs and register, visit or click HERE

NEW this year, we are very excited to announce our first softball t-ball clinic for girls age 3 through 5 years of age. Our new program will be FREE for all players and led by our roster of Roxbury softball coaches during the spring season.  Click HERE to register. 

Roxbury Soccer – Boys & Girls

Registration for fall soccer is now open!  General registration fee for the In-town Recreation program is $110.  Registration fee for the Mites program is $60 and Mini Mites is $50. 

Registration for In-Town Rec will end on August 10, 2018. Registration for the Mighty Mites and Mini Mites programs will end on September 5, 2018. A $20 late fee will apply to any registration accepted after these dates.  Register before July 8th and receive a $10 discount!

For those with more than one child in the general program (rec/travel 1st - 8th grade), there will be a $10 discount for each additional sibling.  After the registration deadline, the $10 discount no longer applies.

Girls Spring Lacrosse

Join the "fastest sport on two feet"!  Teams will be formed with the following grade levels: grades 7/8, grades 5/6, and grades 2/3/4. Practices are 2-3 times a week at Roxbury High School’s Bryant Field (usually Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) with games once a week.  Season runs April 1st through mid-June.  We are looking for parents to be assistant coaches to our certified head coaches. Please register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation.  Registration deadline is December 15, 2017. For further information, please contact Debbie Shulkowski at 862-251-4233. Fee includes practice t-shirt and 12 game season in league (Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association).  Fee: $85; two children, $135; family max, $190.

Boys Spring Lacrosse

Boys Jr. Gaels Lacrosse is a travel program belonging to the North Jersey Junior Lacrosse League. This program is for boys in 2nd-8th grade. Program begins in March, and runs through June. Please provide your own helmet. Current players can register online or in-person beginning on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017. Roxbury Baseball

The Spring 2018 season will start early April and run through mid June. Games/Practices will be 1-2 nights per week (approx. 6:00 start time) and Saturdays (times vary)

Spring Track

Spring Track Clinic - 1st/2nd Grade
This program is designed to introduce children to the track program.  No experience is necessary, just a willingness to run, jump or throw. Location:  Roxbury High School Track. Season starts mid-March; practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with meets on Fridays. Coaches needed too! Register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation for clinic and coaching. Children must be born in 2010 or later for this program.  Fee:  $45; includes t-shirt.

Bantam, Midget & Youth
This program is for children currently in 2nd through 8th grade, born in 2009 or earlier.  It's designed for children who enjoy running track, whether at a recreational or competitive level.  No experience is necessary; just a willingness to run, jump or throw.  Season starts mid-March; practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with most meets on Sunday afternoons. Meets are either at the Roxbury High School Track or away at another school’s track.  Coaches needed too! Summer 2018 Camps

Playground Program 2018

This fun 5-week program begins on Monday, June 25th and goes through Friday, July 27th, 9am to 12 noon.  There will be no camp on July 4th. Sign up online on Saturday, March 3rd at 6am through your Community Pass account or in-person at Roxbury Recreation on Monday, March 5th. Offered for children presently in Grades K-7, Roxbury and Mt. Arlington   residents only. Non-residents are not eligible. Fee:  $125 per participant. (Equals $5.43 per day!!)

Day Camp 2018

This program is open to all Roxbury and Mount Arlington children who are currently in 1st through 6th grade.  Day Camp is held at the Roxbury Recreation Center (Horseshoe Lake) and will run 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Maximum per session is 80 children.  The student/supervisor ratio is 8:1, and children are grouped by age and grade.  Children will be required to bring a lunch and beverage each day.   The fee is $185 per child per session unless otherwise noted.  Sign up online with VISA/MasterCard, or in person with check/cash.

Online registration will start Saturday, February 3rd at 6am, and in person on Monday, February 5th.  Please check your Community Pass account, login information and password prior to the date.  Please note: the sessions are on a first come, first served basis; they may fill up over the weekend.

Teen Travel 2018

For tweens and teens presently in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade who are looking for some fun and excitement this summer.  Must be a resident of Roxbury or Mt. Arlington.  4 sessions to choose from June 25th - July 27th (no camp on July 4th).  Camp is limited to 80 participants with a student/supervisor ratio of 8 to 1.  Camp t-shirt to all registrants.  Teen Travel meets at Roxbury High School Cafeteria and departs for the day.  Hours of the camp are 8:30am to 4:30pm.  5 days per session.  Fee includes trip, transportation, and admission fees.  Lunch is extra.

Camp Capra 2018

This fun and enthusiastic camp will incorporate safe games, fair play, and sportsmanship to all  games.  Kids will need to bring a bagged lunch each day or buy from Snack Stand.  Ice cream will be provided daily.

Jr. Gaels Football 


The season of football will be here before you know it. Don’t miss out on registering for a great experience playing for the BLUE and GOLD.  Jr. Gaels Football practice will begin in Monday, August 13th and will be held Mondays through Thursdays throughout August.  Games will begin in September, and run through early November. For programs, please see below for eligibility as of the September 2018 school year:

  • Pre-Clinic - boys entering 3rd grade (must not  be 9 before August 1st; must be age 8 by Oct. 1st)
  • Clinic - boys entering 4th grade (cannot turn 10 before August 1st)
  • Super Pee Wee - boys entering 5th grade (cannot turn 11 before August 1st)
  • Pee Wee - boys entering 6th grade (can be 12 after July 31st)
  • J.V. - boys entering 7th grade (can be 13 after July 31st)
  • Varsity - boys entering 8th grade (cannot turn 15 before November 15th)

Registration is open online and in-person at Roxbury Recreation,

Fee:  $125 total fee

                                $250 for two children

2018 NFL Instructional Flag Football Clinic

This program is for children age 5 through 8 as of October 1st, 2018.  It includes learning the fundamentals of flag football.  No experience necessary. The program will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning September 10th at the RHS Turf Field and Horseshoe Lake fields, 6pm-7:15pm. Coaches needed too! Please register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation for clinic and coaching.

 Fee: $50, includes NFL Jersey.

Girls Winter Lacrosse Clinics

Get in shape for the spring season and work on basic skills through drills and game play.  Open to girls in grades 2nd – 8th.  Girls will get to know teammates and will work with trained, experienced coaches in the Roxbury Girls Lacrosse Program. Limited equipment available to borrow. Two programs are offered at the Kozak Indoor Soccer, 6 Middlebury Blvd, Randolph: 

  • Program 1: Sundays, 1pm-2pm; January 7, 14, 21, 28 – Fee: $40 per player
  • Program 2: Sundays, 1pm-2pm, February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 4, 11 – Fee: $60 per player

Street Hockey

This program is for boys and girls in 1st through 6th grade.  Practice and game schedules are as follows:

  • 1st/2nd grade teams: Saturday afternoons/some Thursdays at Horseshoe Lake Gym 
  • 3rd/4th grade teams: Sunday mid-day/some Thursdays at Lincoln-Roosevelt Gym
  • 5th/6th grade teams: Sunday evenings/some Tuesdays at Lincoln-Roosevelt Gym

Season begins end of January, and runs through March (will not conflict with basketball). Equipment needed is a helmet, hockey gloves, shin guards and hockey stick. Coaches needed too! Registration begins November 15th, online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation. Fee: $70; includes t-shirt.

Girls Winter Softball Clinic

For girls in K-6th grades, who attend school in Roxbury and Mt. Arlington. All girls are welcome, both recreation league and travel leagues. Sessions of fundamental instruction, drills, practice, games and FUN led by Roxbury Rebels Travel Softball coaches and Roxbury High School players. Location is at Lincoln Roosevelt Gym, times are 12pm-2pm. Clinic starts on January 21st for K-3rd graders; and on March 4th for 4th-6th graders. More info on flyer. Fun, Fitness, and Friendship (Grades K-2)

Tuesdays: February 20, 27 March 6, 13, 20, 27 at the Roxbury Recreation Center Gym
4:30 to 5:30pm

This fun and enthusiastic class will be offered to kids grades K-2.  We will incorporate safe games, fair play, and sportsmanship to all of our games.  The non-stop action includes: pilo polo, guard the pin, popcorn dodgeball, soccer, kickball, tag games, and much more.
