Fall 2015 Programs and Activities:

Boys Skills and Drills Basketball Clinics
Clinics are offered for boys in 3rd-8th grades. Dates are October 27, November 3, 10 & 17 at the Roxbury High School Gym. Grades 3-5 are 6pm-7pm, and grades 6-8 are 7:15pm-8:15pm. RHS Head Coach Joe Ansaldi and staff will be running the clinics. Please register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation. Fee: $30.  

Girls Skills and Drills Basketball Clinics
Clinics are offered for girls in 3rd-8th grades. Dates are November 10, 12, 17 & 19 at the Lincoln Roosevelt Gym. Grades 3-5 are 6pm-7pm, and grades 6-8 are 7:15pm-8:15pm.  RHS Coaches Frank Dekmar, Jessica Trotter and Greg Trotter will be running these clinics.   Please register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation. Fee: $30.  

Fall Basketball
Registration begins September 8th, in-person at Roxbury Recreation or online. Click Fall Basketball for more information.  Coaches needed too! The following programs are available:

Jr. Gaels Wrestling
This program is for children K-8th grade who want to learn to wrestle and compete with kids of same age and weight. Wrestling emphasizes the value of sportsmanship, poise, goal setting, discipline, and work ethic. Sign up in person at Roxbury Recreation or online. Program begins in mid-November.   • K-1st Grade Clinic: Teaches fundamentals and basic techniques to beginners. Friday evenings, 5pm-6pm at RHS Aux Gym. Fee: $40; t-shirt included.
  • 1st-4th Grade Novice: To be eligible, child must have attended Clinic Program. Intermediate program teaches athlete the beginner levels of competition. Practices will be Wednesdays and Fridays, 6pm-7:30pm. Fee: $70; sweatshirt included.
  • 2nd-8th Grade Jr. Gaels: Practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm-8pm. This team will compete in the Tri-County League. Fee: $70; sweatshirt included.

Landing Park Recreation Complex Opening-New Date! 
The Township of Roxbury is proud to present the grand opening of this new complex on Thursday, October 8th at 6:30pm. The ribbon cutting and dedication will be followed by an inaugural girls softball game between the Roxbury Rebels and the Mt. Olive Marauders. There will be a ribbon-cutting for the new playground, refreshments also. Come check out this new park and all of the amenities that it has to offer! GPS address is 165 Landing Road, Landing. 

Fun, Fitness and Friendship-Two Age Groups!
This fun and enthusiastic class for kids is conducted by Bob Capra, a L/R teacher.  Safe games, fair play, fair competition, and sportsmanship are incorporated in games.  The non-stop action includes Popcorn Dodge-Ball, Guard the Pin, Pilo Polo, soccer, kickball and much more.  Please bring a drink to each session. For grades K-2, classes are on Tuesdays, Oct 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov 10 & 17. For grades 3 -4, classes are on Thursdays, Oct 8, 15, 22, 29, and Nov 12 & 19. All classes are at the Horseshoe Lake Gym. Register in-person at Roxbury Recreation or mail payment to Roxbury Recreation, 72 Eyland Ave, Succasunna, NJ 07876; checks payable to Roxbury Clinics. Fee: $55.

Lake Hopatcong Foundation's Lake Loop 2015
On Sunday, October 11, 2015, enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Hopatcong on a scenic bike ride, trail run, or paddling to raise funds for NJ's largest lake! Pick your challenge - cycling 20, 40 or 62 miles, trail run 1 mile or 5k, paddle 1 mile or 2.5 miles. Please click on Lake Loop for flyer, or visit for information and registration.

Drawing Classes
Two levels of classes are offered, one for teens and one for adults. Classes begin the week of October 8th, for a total of six classes. More info on these flyers: Drawing for the Beginner and Drawing What You See

Roxbury PBA 311 Fall Fest
"Fall Fest" is a large food and beverage tasting to be held on Saturday, October 17th, 7pm-11pm at the Courtyard by Marriott, 15 Howard Blvd., Mt. Arlington. Food will be provided by the Market Place, Muldoons, Cinders and Café Novana.  There will be a number of craft beers to sample, wine and liquor samples, a cheesecake table, chocolatier, hand rolling cigar table and a live band.  Visit the Roxbury PBA 311 Facebook page for additional updates.  Co-sponsored by the Market Place.

Halloween at R-R-Roxbury 
Bring your 'H-Haunted House' to the RHS track with your lil princess or ghoul for trick-or-treating fun! Thursday, October 29th; begin setting up your 'house' at 5:15pm, and trick-or-treating is 6:30pm-7:30pm. Prizes for the best houses!! Click Halloween for more information. Winter 2015-2016 Programs and Activities:

Home for the Holiday
Planning is underway for a festive winter celebration in Roxbury! Saturday, December 5, 2015, 11am-5pm, on Main Street in Succasunna. Mark your calendar for a day of music, food trucks, crafts, and all day entertainment. Santa will be visiting, and the tree lighting will be part of the festivities. Please visit for more information as the date gets closer!
